Flipchart Good Person
Test
The Good Person Test is founded on Ray Comfort’s “The Way of the Master Good Person
Test” which uses the law to introduce a person to the Gospel.
‘The law is a school master which leads us to Christ’.
Gal 3:24.
The Flipchart was
developed as a non confrontational way to share the
Gospel.
-
People come up to the chart of their own free will and are told up
front in the introduction that it is based on the ten
commandments, making it a non deceptive way to share the Gospel. (99%
of people will do the flipchart after they find out it is based on the
ten commandments)

Reach New Zealand works in association with Matt Old from GONZ, who
developed GO NZ’s 'THE TEST' laminate tool and tracts. In 2011 it was
decided to standardise the wording of the Gospel message by using the
same wording for both ministries based on “the bridge” gospel outline
used by GO NZ. A training program is being established so there would
be crossover between ministries.
The
Function of the Law
The Law speak directly into the conscience and helps you to avoid
arguments.
The word conscience means = “With knowledge”
The conscience bears witness with God’s truth
The Law is the mirror that reveals our true state, and prepares the heart to
receive the good news of the gospel. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet
stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. - James
2:10
No one will go to Hell because of the wrongs that they have done but because of the
inherited impurity of our soul, caused by sin. Our wrong doings (which are caused
by this inherited sin) such as lying, cheating, stealing, hatred etc, are revealed
to us by the 10 commandments which are like Gods mirror to show us our true
state.
Sin and its results (sins) are why God sent His Son Jesus to die as a substitute
for you and me, to take the punishment for our sin.
The Bible says “For ALL have sinned (broken His commandments) and fall short
of the glory of God” (God’s standard). “For the wages (result) of sin is death...”
Romans 3:23, 6:23
Therefore, just as
through
one man
(Adam)
sin entered into the world
, and death through sin, and
so death spread to
ALL
men
, because all sinned...
Romans 5:12
In other words, we did not become a sinner because we broke His law, but because we
were born sinners, we break Gods law.
This death is not just physical death but also a spiritual death, an eternal
separation from God’ “... it is appointed for men to die once (physical), and
after this comes judgment
” (spiritual)... Hebrews 9:27 - Read

"Just as the world was not ready for the New Testament before it received the Old,
just as the Jews were not prepared for the ministry of Christ until John the
Baptist had gone before Him with his claimant call to repentance, so the unsaved
are in no condition today for the gospel till the Law be applied to their hearts
(conscience) for' by the law is
the knowledge of sin.
‘It is a waste of time to sow seed on ground that
has never been ploughed or spaded! To
present the vicarious sacrifice of Christ to those who’s dominant passion is to take their fill of
sin, is to give that which is holy to the dogs." - A.W Pink
Tips to Avoid
Arguments
Remember to use the word ‘if’. By doing this you will help to bypass their
intellect and speak straight into their conscience and avoid getting into any
argument.

there is a God?

IF
there is a Heaven?
-
IF
there is a Hell?
Four Easy Questions
The purpose of the four questions is to get them to admit they have violated Gods
Commandments.
Note:
-
Get through the 4 questions as quickly as possible.
-
It can help if you agree with them that you have had the same
problem.
-
The older the person is, the harder it is for them to admit they are a
liar or thief etc.
-
Resist the temptation to tell them they are a liar or
thief etc, as you want them to admit that they are a liar, a
thief, etc

them to confess they have broken any of the
commandments, you can be confident their heart is being prepared to
receive the good news of the gospel. Resist the temptation to tell

-
It will help if you have a clear picture in your mind of the whole
gospel message. This will help you to lead them through the
presentation to salvation in Christ.
Communication Tips
-
The idea is to
get the people who you are sharing with to compare what they think makes a
good person to what the bible says a good person is according to the 10
commandments.
First give them the bad news,
then give them the 'Good News'
The bad news prepares their heart so that the good news makes
sense.
Remember you are not trying to reach their intellect,
which is the place of argument. You are trying to reach right into their
conscience's, which is the place of right & wrong. This is what
makes the whole process so easy.

Code of Conduct
Guide:
-
For Shows and other outreaches check our Outreach Calendar. Most members also
outreach on weekends in their local towns.
-
This is very much a covert operation. Please don't wear clothing with
crosses or other religious symbols as people find this intimidating and
won't approach you.
-
When setting up a flip chart please note it is important to do this on
public/council owned land and not private property such as malls,
without permission.
-
Aim to find a place with busy foot traffic.
-
Two or three Flipcharts placed in a group can become an
attraction.
Instead of working in isolation, whenever possible work
together.
-
Important Note:
Please do not engage in arguments. The
Flipchart Good Person Test is designed to be non-confrontational and when
done right the Holy Spirit will speak into their conscience and you will
avoid their intellect, which is the place of argument. It is OK to
let some fish go.
If you engage in an argument you will put others off who may
have been more open to the Gospel. If the person is not receptive then maybe
God is not drawing them to hear the Gospel. Remember, no one can come to
Christ unless the Father draws them.
Just politely let them go and find
another.
God’s Law prepares the heart of the sinner for the good news of the gospel. Without
this preparatory work, his heart is hardened and he therefore becomes a candidate
for a false conversion. Now and then we can catch a glimpse of the difference
between the true and false converts. Here we read the famous narrative of two
women, both claiming to be the mother of one child. Solomon, in his wisdom,
commanded that the baby be cut in half and thus revealed the true mother. Both of
these women dwelt in the same house. The true and false converts dwell together in
the house of the Lord. Each of the women called Solomon “lord.” Both the true and
false convert call Jesus “Lord,” and it therefore takes the wisdom of Solomon to
discern between the true and false. What was it that showed Solomon the real
mother? It was that the true mother revealed genuine love. She would rather lose
her child than see him cut in two with a sword.
Here is how to tell the true convert from the false. The spurious convert will
reveal himself by dividing the Body of Christ in two with some pet doctrine, rather
than backing down in humility. He will cut a body of believers in half because of a
particular interpretation of Scripture regarding a non-essential. He lacks the
wisdom that is peaceable and open to reason. In contrast, the true convert will
strive to keep the unity of the body. He will not even put meat to his mouth if it
causes his brother to stumble, let alone push a personal interpretation and cause
division.
1 Kings
3:16 Now
two women who
were harlots came to the king, and stood before
him.17 And one woman said,
O my lord, this woman and I dwell in the same house; and I gave birth while
she was in the
house.18 Then it happened,
the third day after I had given birth, that this woman also gave birth. And
we were together; no
onewas with us in the house,
except the two of us in the house.19 And this womans son
died in the night, because she lay on him.20 So she arose in the
middle of the night and took my son from my side, while your maidservant slept, and
laid him in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my
bosom.21 And
when I rose in the morning to nurse my son, there he was, dead. But when I
had examined him in the morning, indeed, he was not my son whom I had
borne.22 Then the
other woman said, No! But the living one is my son, and the
dead one is your son. And the
first woman said, No! But the dead one is your son, and the
living one is my son. Thus they
spoke before the king.23 And the king
said, The one says, This is my son, who
lives, and your son is the dead one; and
the other says, No! But your son is the dead one, and
my son is the living
one.24 Then the king
said, Bring me a sword. So they brought a sword before the
king.25 And the king
said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to one, and half to the
other.26 Then the
woman whose son was living spoke to
the king, for she yearned with compassion for her son; and she said, O my
lord, give her the living child, and by no means kill him! But the other
said, Let him be neither mine nor yours, but divide
him.27 So the king
answered and said, Give the first woman the living child, and by no means kill him;
she is his
mother.28 And all Israel
heard of the judgment which the king had rendered; and they feared the king, for
they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to administer
justice.
