Here you will find what a sponsoring church could do to provide assistance for their local outreach?

Our aim is to form a local Flipchart evangelism group with believers from other fellowships and encourage them to get actively involved in local evangelism as well as national outreach's with Reach NZ and our associates. We are also keen to provide ongoing training and support.

NB: All Reach NZ outreach's are provided FREE. Freely we have received, freely we give. However donations are gratefully accepted.

What Reach NZ can Provide

  • All REACH NZ outreach's are provided FREE   .   We are a faith based ministry and our main source of finance is provided through sponsorship.
  • FREE Pre-Outreach Evangelism Training courses   or day Seminars for anyone willing to learn. We also provide practical training at the outreach's. Our goal is not to just proclaim the gospel and leave, but equip those who are interested in seeking and saving the lost in their community, so they can continue after we leave and follow-up and make disciples.
  • REACH NZ can arrange all the details   such as booking the trade sites at A&P Shows or other secular events.
  • REACH NZ can provide a team of experienced evangelists   from all over the country to support an outreach event in your area.
  • REACH NZ can provide Tracts to give away   with our website and contact details on them.
  • The Reach NZ website   has a recommended   Church Directory which anyone who has received a tract can look up to find a place to fellowship in their area. The hosting church can be listed here.
  • The Reach NZ website also   has a   Directory of Associate Evangelists who have proven themselves to be effective communicators of the gospel.
  • Our aim is to form a local Flipchart Evangelism Team   with believers from other fellowships and encourage them to get actively involved in local evangelism as well as national outreach's with Reach NZ. We are also keen to provide ongoing training and support.
  • We are open to new ideas.   Please talk to us

What the Hosting Churches Can Provide

  • A team to set up a tent or gazebo for shelter from the sun; Because of the distance most of our team has to travel to an outreach it makes life so much easier if the site can be set up and ready to go when they arrive.
  • Tables and 10-15 chairs;   for when the team needs to take a break and so we can sit and talk with anyone wanting to know more.
  • Provide cold drinks   for the E-team and the general public. This provides a great opportunity to talk more in-depth with anyone wanting to know more about Christianity or the local Church.
  • Kids Program;   This is a great opportunity to put on a kids program to show un-churched children what Sunday school is really about. Please talk to us about what O.A.C. Ministries can do to help you with this.
  • Face Painting: Face painting put on by the local host church can help draw a crowd which both the Flipcharters and OAC survey teams, as well as the prayer team can use to connect with to share the Gospel.
  • Free Bible Info Pack: For those who the outreach team really make a great connections with, it is a good opportunity to give them a free Bible and some information about the Host Church/s to help them connect with you.
  • Prayer Tent:   To   pray for the outreach before, during and after. We recommend they come to the outreach to pray. The prayer covering by the prayers in the prayer-tent work well together with the evangelism team. Those that come into the tent are able to request prayer for those they have just talked with. Others can be brought into the tent to receive ministry and prayer for healing.
  • Lunch:   It would be great if the supporting church could supply a light lunch for the Outreach team.
  • Billets:   Sometimes it is necessary for our evangelists to stay overnight or for several days (depending on the length of the event) and will therefore require billeting.
  • Transport:   Sometimes our associate evangelists have to fly at their own expense to get to an outreach. We would appreciate it if the hosting churches could organize to pick them up from the airport and get them to where they need to be.
  • A team from your church   that is willing to learn how to proclaim the gospel using the Flipchart presentation.
  • A team from your church   to talk to anyone at the outreach interested in knowing more about God, salvation or follow-up.
  • Follow-up Dinner or BBQ: See below for details...

Results: Many people including those from the local host church can easily be trained to share the Gospel for the first time. One lady said... “Now I know how to share the Gospel I am going to be able to do this in my place of work.”

One of the people using the Flipcharts for the first time was a Korean girl. We prayed for some Koreans to come along for her to share the gospel with and soon she was sharing the Gospel in Korean with a Korean couple.

Among the many touched were a pair of girls who were very fearful of evil spirits after watching the movie Para Normal. We were able to share the Good News of Christ's Victory over the devil at the cross. They went away with a Bible and were keen to attend the local youth group in their area.

Follow-Up Ideas
Follow-up Dinner, BBQ or Coffee Evening: We encourage the host Church or Churches to print invitations for the outreach team to give to those who have a serious encounter with the Holy Spirit.
  1. This provides another opportunity for you to contact them again and connect with them.
  2. We suggest this should be done within a week of the Outreach Event.
  3. You will also need a form for the team to fill out to collect the persons name and contact details or appoint someone from your fellowship to make sure they get all their details and give out the invitations.
  • We are open to new ideas. Please talk to us so we can help.

IMPORTANT NOTE

We try to be covert in appearance and witness to as many people as possible. We have found that it is NOT  helpful to wear clothing with religious symbols or have any signage that stands out and says this is religious.  We are not religious!

In our experience once people get started on the 'Good Person Test' they are generally happy to complete it,  even when they realize early in the presentation that it is Christian.

Outreach Tents

We have one but ideally we need 3 or 4 professional tents that we can provide for our outreach's so we can make a good impression on those that stop to talk to our team.

However in the mean time we rely on the supporting church to set up what they can. It is possible to hire a tent but at this stage its not in our budget to be able to do that.
