1. Why did we go to Tokoroa
Gary Scoggings, our team leader had a vision to reach people in Tokoroa for
Christ
Gary met John Sutton, an elder at Balmoral Gospel Chapel & both of them organized the
outreach
2. When did we go and where did we stay
We stayed in Tokoroa from Tuesday
3rd to Sunday 15th of January at Balmoral
Gospel Chapel
3. Who was part of the team
People from all over North Island, from Auckland,
Hamilton, Ngaruwahia, Wellington
And 6 locals regularly attended our training
sessions, and participated in community outreaches
During both weeks, the number of people in our team
varied between 6 and 15 (on the day we had the community hangi)
The first week, a couple from Wellington came to prepare meals for the team, they left on
Saturday and the 2nd week, people from our team and a few locals took the initiative to prepare
meals
4. What we did the 1st week
Run simultaneously 2 children’s programs (4 days) in
2 churches in Tokoroa, Balmoral Gospel Chapel and St Mark’s Presbyterian Church
Every day, went into the neighborhood and into the street to advertise our 2 children’s
programs and invite people to our lunches and
dinners
The programs included games, competitions, stories, and
a Gospel presentation in four parts, one part presented each day
Every day, after the children’s program, Gary would
invite children to stay for lunch and to bring family members or friends over for lunch (and many
children did stay and invited their friends or family members)
A few locals attended the programs, went along to community outreaches and prayed with our OAC
team
Overall, 27 children attended both
programs
The last day of the program, which was Saturday 7-1, we had a “Lollies or the Bag game” for caregivers and we organized and prepared a
Family Barbecue.
About 30 children and 15 parents turned up to the
Family BBQ
5. What we did the 2nd week
Street and door to door evangelism
Gave away about 120 DVDs of Bible in 11 + 100 cards with the website to watch the Bible in 11 video
clip
Talked to 200 or more people
6 people made a decision to follow Christ
Good Person Test flipchart in the street and door to door + surveys
we cooked 220 hangi’s for the Community Hangi on
Saturday 14-1
and about 100 people turned up to it
On that day, we had many good conversations with
people about Christianity + a Good Person Test flipchart outside
church hall
Training sessions about how to share our faith in an effective way and what to share
7 locals came regularly to our training sessions or to help prepare meals for us
6. What we found out about people in Tokoroa
95% of people were open to talk to us and accepted to answer our
survey’s questions and do the Good Person’s Test
Even a few people invited us into their homes to talk
Most people had never heard the Gospel message before
Many people said there was no reason why they should not turn away from their sins and surrender
right then, but needed more time to think about it
7. Our vision for Tokoroa for 2012
To get an oral, written or digital copy of the Gospel within arm reach = in every
household
Gisborne A&P
Show Outreach - 14th & 15th October
2011
The Reach NZ Gisborne A&P
Show Outreach this weekend was awesome. Praise the Lord for His provision as around 500 people would
have heard a full Gospel message over this weekend.
I would like to say a big thank you
to Gisborne AOG for hosting this outreach. May God bless you in all you are doing to seek and save the
lost.
We had our Gisborne Team of six and
a couple of newbies from the AOG. We were also supported by our Reach Teams with seven from Grace Community
Church in Tauranga who came through with their flipcharts. Thank you so much for your support, without which we
would not have reached so many sinners with the Gospel.
We saw several sinners come into
repentance from their sin into saving faith in Christ – Praise the Lord! However we also literally saw hundreds
of sinners convicted by the Holy Spirit of sin, righteousness and justice. When asked at the end - ‘Now that you
understand how you can get right with God today… When are you going to do it?’ Their answer was… ‘Today’ or ‘As
soon as I can.’ Glory to God!
It is such a privilege to be an
ambassador for Christ and experience God crying out through us as we spoke to so many sinners who were in
desperate need of salvation. I have no doubt that if we had been able to double the size of our team we could
easily have proclaimed the Gospel to another 500 people.
Believe it or not – sinners are
keener to hear the Gospel than the Church is to share the gospel. We need more labourers. It’s truly not hard to
do as the harvest is plentiful. Please pray God would raise up more labourers.
God bless all those who helped
support this outreach with their time, finance & prayer. You are all partakers in the fruit of this ministry
opportunity.

NZ for future outreaches please contact us now!
Yours in His Grace,
Kevin Piper
